I regret to announce that there will be no indoor OFMAC sessions at Berinsfield this winter, nor will I be running them at an alternative location.

This has been a difficult decision, particularly given how long OFMAC has been running. However, attendance at every meeting during the last winter season was below the minimum required, in some cases by a considerable margin. The lack of heating at the centre being a major factor and it looks as if there is no plans to resolve this soon.

I will continue to look for a suitable alternative venue. So far, however, all of the potential locations I have considered have either been unsuitable, already in use, or simply too expensive. Although offers of financial assistance have been received, the relatively low attendance numbers mean that this would not be a sensible or sustainable way forward at present.

I am very much open to suggestions for possible venues and hope that we can find a way to resume indoor flying in the near future.

Finally, I would like to thank everyone who has supported OFMAC over the years and, in particular, those who have continued to attend the cold winter sessions. I hope this is only a pause rather than the end of indoor flying, and I will keep looking for opportunities to get us back in the air.
